How the game works
Rounds, lives, hints, scoring, the daily village, the atlas and the badges.
Support
Mawtini is made by one person. There is no ticket system and no support queue — an email arrives with me, and I answer it myself.
Write to
mawtini@qraiqe.noIn English or in Arabic — both are fine. I aim to reply within a few days.
Most questions already have an answer written down:
Rounds, lives, hints, scoring, the daily village, the atlas and the badges.
Languages, iCloud sync, offline play, spellings, missing histories, accessibility.
What is stored, what syncs, what leaves the device — and what you can turn off.
A bug report is far easier to act on with a few details. If you can, include:
The app itself has a Contact us row in Settings that opens a message to me with the version already filled in — that saves you looking it up.
If a village's name, district, location or history is wrong, please tell me. This is the most important kind of message this app can receive, and it goes to the front of the queue.
Send the village name as it appears in the app, what is wrong, and — where you can — a source I can check. Corrections ship in the next content update.
Please note that transliteration differences are usually not errors: the same village is spelled several ways across sources, and Mawtini follows PalestineRemembered.com while keeping alternates for search. See the FAQ on spellings.
If any part of Mawtini is unusable with VoiceOver, at large text sizes, with Reduce Motion on, or for any other reason — that is a defect, not a limitation. Write and describe what you hit, and I will fix it.
